But pet grief can come in all shapes and sizes, from furry to scaled, and it can be one of the hardest losses in a world where your companion might be the only constant... After three and a half years of doing this show at least once a week, I think I've found what might be the most difficult skill to learn; as it took our expert today over seven years of one on one study with a lifetime master of the craft before he was able to attempt it on his own.

My guest today is Gerard Wouters. Gerard is a Dutch Taoist, which sounds about as statistically unlikely as it is. But he found that Taoism gave him a very clear path to both physically and mentally treat his clients for the last 30 years. We dive into what Tao is, the meaning behind Yin/Yang, and what this practice has that is so commonly mistaken for other beliefs or religions, when Tao itself does not worship anything at all. Mr. Wouters is also not a native English speaker, but I think he does a great job all the same.

Talking to the issue: “____, In God’s Name: I command you to leave, go out now.”
 
I find this fascinating that it comes from a nearly agnostic principle, and seems to work for anyone. I tried it with Beatty and found some temporary success in alleviating pain in my back. Maybe I need to work at it more to make it consistent?

The answer to that is two fold. Number one, I've always wanted to visit Japan to tour the shrines and temples. Number two, I guess they just care to see me more than you do... or are at least more verbal about it. Hint hint!
